Can the dust screen of the network cabinet be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner?

The cleaning of dust nets in network cabinets requires careful operation. The suitability of vacuum cleaners depends on specific scenarios and operating methods. The key points are as follows:

1. Applicable scenarios and operational points
Recommended situation:
Metal dust-proof mesh (such as punched steel plate mesh, aluminum alloy mesh cover): can be directly vacuumed with a soft bristle brush head at low speed, especially suitable for surface floating dust.
High density nylon filter: limited to dry fine dust only. The vacuum cleaner needs to be adjusted to the lowest gear, and the suction head should be kept at least 2cm away from the filter to avoid damaging the fiber structure due to adsorption force.
Prohibited situations:
Oil contaminated environment (such as kitchen, factory workshop): Oil stains mixed with dust have strong adhesion, which cannot be removed by vacuum cleaners and may block the pores of the filter screen.
Wet filter: Moisture can cause dust to clump, and vacuuming can easily cause deformation of the mesh surface.

2. Risk control measures
Static electricity prevention:
Using industrial vacuum cleaners with grounding wires, static electricity generated during the operation of ordinary household vacuum cleaners may penetrate electronic components inside the cabinet (especially when the power is not turned off).
Wear an anti-static wristband before vacuuming, and remove the dust net from the cabinet for operation.
Structural protection:
Prohibit sharp suction heads or hard accessories, use circular soft bristle brush heads for metal mesh, and flat mouth wide suction heads for nylon mesh (such as pet suction heads).
The suction direction should always move from the outside to the inside of the cabinet to avoid pushing dust into the equipment area.

Preferred method:
Compressed gas tank blowing: For the detachable dust screen, use a short airflow to spray it outdoors (keeping the gas tank vertical to prevent condensate from spraying out).
Wash and air dry: Soak and rinse the nylon filter with neutral detergent, thoroughly dry it, and then reinstall it (metal mesh only for wiping).
Vacuum cleaner as a supplement: only used for initial dust removal steps in emergency cleaning or regular maintenance, and cannot replace deep cleaning.
